Are you ready for 10/10/10? 350.org is organizing some great green events locally and around the world to raise awareness of climate change and environmental issues. This year’s theme is “Global Work Party” and there are already 2,800 plus activities planned for over 150 countries.
What to do in the Philadelphia region 10/10/10:
Rally at Philadelphia City Hall to encourage climate action from citizens, the city, and the nation. Converse with community leaders and organizations working actively to solve the climate crisis and create a clean energy revolution.
Join Greenpeace, The Sierra Club, 1Sky, Volk Libre, The Sustainable Business Network, PowerUP Gambia, the Alliance for A Sustainable Future, and the Philadelphia Friends at the Friends Center at 15th & Cherry.
The Neighborhood Interfaith Movement (NIM) will be cleaning and greening at Mount Vernon Park in Germantown.
The Energy Coodinating Agency (ECA) will join the Chestnut Hill Friends in Fairhill for a workshop on weatherization and home energy savings.
Wet your whistle and make new (green) friends at a Greendrinks Climate Action Party.
Clean up the I-76 ramp (Gulph Mills) with Penndot. Safety vests and cleanup equipment will be provided.
