The Philadelphia Water Department (PWD) is reaching out to business owners in an effort to raise $100,000 to eliminate pollution and mitigate stormwater runoff. PWD made a donation in the same amount last year and hopes that area businesses will play an active role in keeping the water system where they work (and maybe live and play) safe and clean.
The money raised will be distributed by the Schuylkill River Heritage Area to non-profits and government organizations who are already working to promote clean waterways.
