Pedi-cabs Return to Philly Streets

Philly pedi-cab, bike-cab, SEPTA, Philly public transportation

If you’re having trouble flagging down a taxi and haven’t yet mastered the fine art of maneuvering the SEPTA bus lines, you’ll be pleased to know that another option for getting around town this summer is returning. That’s right, the pedi-cabs are back!

Pedi-cabs (or bike cabs) are returning to Philadelphia to offer tours and regular transport.  Unlike regular automobile cabs, fare in a pedi-cab is negotiable.  And though they aren’t the fastest mode of public transportation, they are a great way to see the city for those not in a rush.

Pedi-cabs are also a sustainable means of transportation.

Ron Ash of the Philly Bike-Cab Alliance says the group is working to update technology to provide riders with enhanced tours and more accommodating rides.
