The Philadelphia Art Alliance is celebrating the art of reuse through December 30.
Let Me Tell You About A Dream I Had is a flotilla of reused and recycled art created by Miss Rockaway Armada. The artists behind the project began collecting objects back in July to build a floating structure. They set sail this summer making stops in University City and Kensington. The exhibit is constructed entirely of found and repurposed materials and is meant to provide visitors an opportunity to reconsider designations like “trash” and “junk.”
The opening reception takes place tonight at 6pm at the Art Alliance (251 S. 18th Street). You can share the dream through December.
