The New York Times got a hold of a report from the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) that shows the environmental dangers of hydraulic fracture.
Among the findings, the documents reveal that wastewater from natural gas wells is sometimes taken to sewage plants that are not equipped to treat it. This wastewater and the radioactive components it contains are then discharged into the water supply.
Scientists interviewed in the report expressed alarm that drilling wastewater is being put back into the Pennsylvania water supply.
